Mercedes-Benz Announces 20,000-mile Sprinter Camping Tour, Makes Us Envious
Last week, Rob Wilson and his wife Jan left on a camping trip that will take them 20,000 miles through the rest of 2010. Starting at Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, the couple will head southwest before taking a hard right, cutting up the coast and not stopping until they can see Russia out one window and Sarah Palin's house through the other.

Daimler Vans USA is announcing that a specially equipped Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van is touring 50 U.S. national parks this summer as part of a 20,000-mile journey of discovery. Piloted by author and photographer Rob Wilson, with his wife Jan as co-pilot, the Sprinter Interstate 3500 model has been upfitted by Airstream to serve as a high-tech, fuel efficient and highly practical RV for the cross-country tour.

Sprinter Van to Make 20,000-Mile Journey
April showers are meant to bring May flowers, but other than that and Iron Man 2, May is a holding-pattern month while we wait for the summertime action of June, July and August. Well, it's a holding pattern for some – for Rob and Jan Wilson it's nothing of the kind. The self-described empty nesters have laid hold of a Daimler Sprinter van (we knew it as the Dodge Sprinter until recently), got it fitted out by Airstream and are driving the country to visit 50 national parks.

The Ultimate Road Trip
The call of the open road. Some people hear it as just a whisper, a faint cry from the subconscious to get out there and look around.
